I have a fwd dsm and am looking to upgrade my suspension for the summer. I do not have the funds to buy coilovers so I'm looking for a solid shock/spring combo. When it comes to the springs, I am not a very big fan of lowering my car more than .5''. I have already decided to get tokico illuminas adjustable shocks all around but have not decided on springs yet. Do I even need to upgrade my springs? Will these shocks work with the stock springs?
I was also looking at these springs and wanted to know if anybody has heard of these. http://www.modacar.com/products/Mitsubishi/Eclipse/SKUNK2DRAG/
If not, please suggest any other springs that will help me lower my 60ft without lowering the car too much.
By the way, I already have solid motor mounts and am planning on going with lightweight wheels and sticky tires. Thank You

Those struts will work with OEM springs. If you do want to go with a stiffer spring, it is hard to find springs that are less than a 1" drop. The springs that you suggested do not say what the average drop is, but normally drag and race springs have a drop of 2"+, while sports springs are usually within 1" - 2". These springs would do well for you http://www.slowboyracing.com/more.php?id=2874& . SBR says that the drop is 1.5" but I believe Tien says it is around 1.3".

eibach prokit is 1.2". I have this with tokico illuminas set 2 in front and 4 in rear. It really helped with my wheel hop on hard acceleration. Sucks ass on crappy roads though.

i too am interested in better traction without lowering the car much, i have found H&R OE springs and Tein H Tech springs to have the least (1 inch) amount of lowering

I have HR OE sports. 1" drop, the least I could find.

They pair well with Koni yellows.

yes, i too am running into this issue, espically since i have the VRS exhaust, im on stock suspension, and the exhaust hangs down pretty low as it is, sometime scrapes. But its been hard to find a minimal drop spring

I was also looking at these springs and wanted to know if anybody has heard of these. http://www.modacar.com/products/Mitsubishi/Eclipse/SKUNK2DRAG/

Sure, I've heard of them. That's a Skunk2 coilover kit with (probably) different springrates than those they usually sell (although it might also be the same springrates as their regular kit, given the source). Skunk2s are all over the place, from eBay to your favorite dorm-room drop-shipper.

Launching grip depends on weight control. Weight control depends mostly on the shocks, plus their match to the springs (all else being equal). Doing just the springs will probably not help very much.
