So I am in the middle of doing this, all wires cut and labeled and ready to be extended. Anyone have any ideas on where to run the new wires? The fuse box is going in the glove box area. I wanted to go fenderwell, but it isn't set up like Hondas are, like I used to.

So anyone got any ideas? I am thinking running below the trans but its currently out of the car so I don't know where exactly it will be sitting.

Update: See post #8

one place to run is on the lower passenger side of the firewall there is a small hole where the hvac system comes out, only a little hose goes to it. you can pull that stuff out, make the hole a little bit bigger to fit the wires through and there you go, when the motor and trans are in the car you wont be able to see anything since it is so low.

Thanks for bringing that up. Thats the hole I plan on using, but wanted to run the wires stealthly (did I make that up  ) through the bay, are you saying run along the passenger side of the bay below the trans into that hole? If so thats where I am worried about issues with the trans being in the way/squishing the harness.

are you still going to be wrapping the harness around the front of the car? what about running it parallel with the side beam where the tranny mount is? run it under the trans mount and then tuck it back under the body panel.

I'm going to take pics in a little then I will MSpaint the wire path in.

The harness was cut down by the radiator sensor (the one at the bottom). I think I get what you are saying, and if so thats probably what I will be doing.

ya its hard to describe without having pics. I havent seen a tranny in my car in over 2 monthes now so who knows. Put up a pic of what you are thinking for a wire path.

Update

But still not sure where to run the wires.. Here is what I am thinking

Any thoughts? Anyone with a trans and engine in their car want to confirm that this won't interfere with the trans?

what i was thinking is the same way except run it on the other side of the plastic shield along that rail that the trans mount is attatched to, that way there wouldnt be any clearance issues with the trans. and then you would almost have a direct shot to front support to run it back across to the driver side. And then you would still be able to have enough play in it to run it behind the rear cross member.

kind of like this

Hey thanks for getting back to me. I am going to plan it out tomorrow and see if that will be good. I'll let you guys know and hopefully I will have some pics soon. I have been lazy though and still haven't ordered the wire, so we'll see.

I have officially been the laziest person ever. Extending 2 more wires tonight then doing a mock up in the car tomorrow depending on weather. Will take pics of the extended fuse box.
