funny noise...dunno what it is

My TSI makes a funny noise sometimes. It's kinda like a squeak or a sputter or somethin like that, its kinda hard to describe. I only really notice it in first and second gear. I was thinking its a belt. I thought it was maybe because my car was cold, but it still does it even after I let it warm up for like 10 minutes. Thanks in advance for any help.

Could you give a little more info?
Is it at wot?
Where does it "sound like" it is coming from?
From transmission?
From Engine?
Does it do this after driving around and the car is fully warmed up?
Any performance loss?

There isn't any performance loss, if there is, it isn't noticeable. It definately isn't coming from the tranny, it sounds like a belt almost, but I'm not too sure. It only goes away after driving for a little bit, if I let it warm up in neutral, the noise is still there when I take off. Most of the time it does it in 1st and 2nd gear, not so much 3rd because that's when I notice it goes away. I just want to know if anyone knows what this is, or is even experiencing the same thing. Thanks for your help.
