Vancouver,
I do not have a DSM as of yet, but im currently surching for the right one.
I have a few parts that i can put on the car when i get it but i do not know if i want to use them all. I have a 20G turbo that i can use but im not sure if i would liek to.

I was thinking of going with a Garrett T4. The perticular one that i would most likely get wouldhit full boost at 4000rpm.

Is that streetable or should i look to get another one?

Definitely something to consider. If you acutally want a full garrett setup like that, you are gonna need the supporting mods to even be as efficient as it's supposed to, which could cost alot of $, especially if you have a shop do the work, or the car has been poorly maintained.

However, Let's just say you are looking to get into the 12s, and call it a day. With a GSX, it can be pulled off with a 16G turbo, hell even a 14B turbo, for alot cheaper than the turbo you are speaking of.

To make this long story short, If I were you, I'd get the supporting mods first, tune it moderately well, then see where you stand from there before you select the turbo. :thumb:

The car will be a "shop" car. To showcase what my friends shop is able to do. The costs for the car are minimal (for me). I just have to buy the inital car. But there is a catch. I have to do alot of the work myself. Whic is fine by me cause i love working on cars and thats what i do to make my money. Hes basicly just going to get the parts for the car and ill put them on. :D

But no one has answered. Is full boost at 4000rpm streetable?

Yes, it is streetable. You just have to know how to keep it in the rpm range to hit it when you need it.:thumb:

As for the 20g thing wellllll.......

It is proven and it will work. Many poeple have hit a LOW 12 even low 11's with it. It is all up to you though.

One guy has a proven run with a 20G at 11.36@122mph.:thumb:

Well im not to concerned with having a huge HP number or anything. Or hitting really low 1/4 mile runs. It would be nice. But my buddy wants to do the big power bit. Adn go balls out on it. Which is fine with me. :D

But i may just go for a smaller T4, cause i dont want to be dealing with a flat spot up to 4000rpm all the time.

A 20g is not going to give you a "flat spot" till 4000rpm.

I gues I am partial to the the 20g since I already have one, but if you have one and are not willing to "put it in" cause you might not like it. Well....sell it and do as you wish.;)
