Fuel Sender bent?

I replaced my fuel pump about a year ago and guess that I bent the fuel sender at that time. The tank doesn't read completely full when I gas up now...reads about 7/8 full.

I am looking at the prices of used ones and spending $150+ for a used one plus the pain of going back in there doesn't seem worth it.

Is there any way that I will be able to see where I bent it and straighten it? Seems like something that I am better off living with but wanted to know just in case.

Pull out assemble and remove the screw on electrical contact on the leveler. Once separated move the leaver up and down looking at the contact resistor to make sure it is making full contact top to bottom. You will need to bend the contact slightly so the sender have full contact through it range of motion . Good luck.
