Fuel Rail Qs

I searched.

If I want to run around 850-880cc sized injectors, I know I'll need a bigger pump (Wally 255), and AFPR (Aeromotive), but do I need a larger FUEL RAIL like an AEM or Aeromotive? Is a fuel rail really necessary? Can the stock one take the higher flow without backing up the system? I'm planning on around 450whp.

No you do not need a fuel rail. Our stock fuel rails are incredible and support crazy amounts of horse power. You should never need to buy one, but you definately don't need one to make 450whp. Also, you probably already know this, but 850's are to big to control with a s-afc, you will need dsmlink or a stand alone ecu to tune with for any injector bigger than 650's.

Ok thanks. That saves me some money from not having to get a fuel rail. I guess people get them on DSMs more for looks then.

I know. I'm going to get DSMchip and have it set up for that injector size. I'll just have the AFC to fine tune it off the DSMchip.
