hey guys im new here. i just got my 91 awd tsi talon two days ago and i have a problem. i bought the car knowing it needed a fuel pump and being as it has a 16g turbo i went ahead and got a walbro 255. installed the pump cranked it and the car runs great.... except that the wires going to the fuel pump are getting really hot and smoking. one thing im concerned with is the ground wire being as i changed the location of it from the nut toward the rear of the car toward the middle of the plate to one of the mounting nuts.... i didn't think it would be a difference because its just a ground. am i wrong? is this a common problem with a after market fuel pump? it may be a simple fix but i ran out of time to work on the car and wont get back to it for a couple days. any advice or opinions are appriciated. please help before my car explodes
