is the fuel pump udner the rear seat? i pulled all my spark plugs and there dry, but i do get a small odor of fuel from the head, i checked my oil, its kinda brown, my anti-freeze is green, and the oil i put in friday was mobil 1 synthetic with synthetic lucas oil stabilizer, no i was driving and my car died, and when i went to restart it, i had to do what i do to turn on my buddys wrecker, crank it and hit the gas ever so often and it turnt on, and idled at like100-200 rpm, now i believe this must be a fuel problem, the fuel line from the filter to the fuel rail, has lots of bubbles in it, i mean lots, so are my injectors now deciding not to open up or is it to flooded, if u crank it, it keeps rotating steaduily, now spark? im bymyself so i dont have anyone else to crank while i check

I would check to see if you have a boost leak first, the low or rough idle can commonly be attributed to an upper or lower intercooler piping having blown off.

would that make it not turn on? also nothing on the boost gauge comes on it just hangs directly at 0

no thats my other one, i got 2, the one im talking about like i said is a 95 gsx a/t with a 6bolt

Alright,

Sorry again then, as I was saying before I would need some more information but I would be strongly inclinded to suggest that it is probably not fuel related if the car attempts to run, you said it idles at 100-200, this means it is getting some fuel.

In your second post you said it would not turn on, does this mean the lights on the dash would not turn on? Or perhaps the car will not turn over? The car will turn over but not fire? Need some more information please!

As I originaly said I would suggest that you check all of your intercooler piping, specificaly the piping leading into the intercooler (passengers side.) These pipes are prone to blowing off if you have a lose hose clamp.

Post back with more information! (perhaps include more of what you were doing when the problem occurred, was it all at once? did it make a sound?)

okay

once i broke down i got it to fire up once and thats it,

now it just cranks and no start, boost gauge is dead on at 0

i pulled the plugs and they look clean, i didnt check much of anything else just under the car to see if i had a whole out the engine or something, but then i figured that if i did loose a piston or rod or something it wouldnt crank over

so right now it just keeps on cranking and my timing belt cover is off since i dont have one and the timing looks fine, just did timing belt job on friday

i was driving on the highway, in the triple digits for a couple miles and i did hear a bang bang bang but i think that was one of the plastics on the left rear wheel, because i took that off friday and didnt put back a lot of the bolts to it and forgot to ziptie the rest down

but when i slowed down to about 75-80 and then i tried getting on the gas thats when nothign was happening, and i did notice i was getting no boost

Interesting,

Unfortunately, that is the limit of my knowledge, if you heard a banging sound on the highway I am going to say that you should probably enlist the help of a more experienced DSMer since there could be something more serious then a simple boost leak!

In the mean time tell us more about what the car did when you got it to start on the side of the road!

just ran at like 100-200 rpm, when it was dying the idle needle was like stuck at 1500 then 1000, didnt really do much budging, until i cam to a complete stop and turned it off

I had this same thing happen to me when I had my Eclipse. I wasnt going as fast, but I had the same result. I heard a clink clink clink scratch scratch clink noise and wondered if I blew my engine. The car wouldnt boost at all. I took it to my shop guy and I had cracked my wastegate housing (If I remember correctly as this was like 3 years ago) If this isnt your problem I appologize. But its worth taking a look at to see if thats the problem.

just did some checking before i left for work, no holes or cracks on the wastegate and then that line looks fine, so do all the other lines, went to start it, almost started then i heard a backfire, i noticed my fuel gauge was at half way, last night when it got towed home it was at 3 quarters, also i checked the ouil this morning since i could see and it looks brown and smelled like gas

yea i did it again this morning and it sounds like it was almost about to start up, and no its not n/t its my 95 gsx a/t/

i will tonight, one of the mods on my other posts quickly said jumped timing bent valves

drained oil, timing belt cover was always off, belt looks brand new still not a scratch on it, tons of gas came out from the oil pan, had my sister crank it, while i checked the spark plug wires if they were sparking, nothing whatsoever, engine just keeps turning and at points it wants to turn on but no spark

okay 95 gsx a/t flooded engine how do i unflood it?

i cant find the mpi fuse, i dont have it by the battery and under the dash board i have 2 big fuses with a bunch of small ones?

also no spark whatsoever

Please don't start new threads when you've already got one unresolved that deals with the same problem. It's the same as bumping your own thread.

You un-flood the engine by pulling out the spark plugs and letting the car sit overnight. Then, before you try starting it again, you find out why you don't have spark. And check your timing to see if you jumped a tooth. Then, if it hasn't, put your timing belt covers back on so it doesn't happen in the future. That's what they're there for.

the spark plugs are black and stink of gas, should i get new ones? before i put start it in the morning

You might as well, but the spark plugs are not the problem. Their blackness and odor is a symptom of a larger problem. I think you need to concentrate on the electrical side of things instead of the fuel side. You're obviously getting fuel, so why aren't you getting spark? Are the coils firing? Are they plugged in? Are fuses blown? Have you jumped time? Is your MAS plugged in? Is the throttle position sensor plugged in?

It almost sounds like the car went into limp mode before it shut off. Do you have anything like DSMLink?

i also dont have individual coils, i just got a big coil pack taht all 4 wires plug into

Yes, 95+ cars are OBDII. You need to get your codes read, ASAP. Find a friend with an OBDII code reader.
