I understand the purpose behind this gauge and I now believe I should have one inside my cockpit at all times. I want to make sure I have a proper fuel pressure adjustment at idle and under boost... just to keep safe.

Now I was looking to buy a gauge that will match my boost gauge. http://www.7453217467431.com/produc...9963&bmUID=1078597607031&bmLocale=en_CA&tab=0

This is what I came up with. Does anyone know if these FP gauges come with the adapters to install it? Is there a vfaq type site that can show me what is needed to be done. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks.

btw - I'm not spending $300+ on an electrical one.

EDIT: I just realized that the gauge is 1 1/2". I need one that will fit my gauge pod. My pod reads 2" across it's opening.

Well you might want to reconsider and get an electrical as the consequences of a leak are quite obvious.

However if you do go with a mechanical gauge then make sure you are using quality tubing to and fro... Obviously you will want a gauge that reads a little higher than 60psi, as you will eventually (if you are a DSM'er) be seing pressures higher than that.

Another option is to mount the gauge right in between the hood and the windshiel so its outside, yet still in your veiw. Shorter/easier routing of the lines, no fuel splillage happening in the cabin and the cost of a mechanical gauge over an electrical. You will just have to get creative with a bracket to put it in eyesight.

You can usually find (from all kinds of places including summit) inline adapters that will mount in right before your fuel filter.

Good luck!~

this may sound kinda getto but it worked great,,
i just plugged into the side port on my full throttle afpr and clamped a hose to it, ran a 2 foot long hose clamped onto my mechanical gauge, fit it up under the hood and into plain site at the windhiel and zipped tied it to my windshield wiper, no not perminent , just to see if i was actually getting the proper fp at boost like i thought i should be getting, and sure enough i was, set at 41 base, around 50 at 0 boost, and it roose up above 70 to 73 with the 21 lbs of boost i run, so pretty much it workes perfect and no leaks with the clamped hose, then of course after it tested out good i pulled it all out,
another thing to note i also have another gauge right before the fuel rail that is always there ofcourse i just did this one time to see if it rise correctly at boost.

and another thing, the gauges may have just been inaccurate to each other, but the gauge before the rail reads 5 lbs higher then the gauge plugged in at the regualtor.
