Top of my gas tank has rot, all the bolts holding it on are rusted and flaking, the bottom of the tank is not too far behind. I just want to get a cell instead of trying to fix it because I honestly don't know how long it would last after fixing and dont want to deal with it again. Who is running one? What did you do to your trunk? What is the difference between drop sump and flat bottom? Do I want foam? is -8an too big? Would a privacy cover help keep the heat off the cell in the day time? Plastic, Aluminum, or Steel? Any help is appreciated, thanks in advanced.

Putting in a fuel cell properly is a lot of work compared to just picking up a used rust free southern tank. If you want to take it on the track you'll need a sealed sheet metal privacy cover to separate it from the passenger compartment, and bye bye spare tire.

It will be a DD/Track car, just for summer only. The thing is, I don't feel like dealing with the hassle if I get a rust free tank of installing it to the already rusted supports underneath and the spare tire isn;t there anyway. I was thinking of cutting the floor and having the cell drop in, or just flattening the floor and it sitting level. Not sure yet? Thanks for the advice though
