Hey everyone,
Well today I was reading up about the arc2 I have on my car and how it works. I've been trying to get the car to start for some time and have done a bunch of stuff since I got it to start last month. I put on the arc2 with plug and play all purchased new along with 2200cc, 5 gal cell correctly fabricated in old trunk space, cut it out and tig welded a flat stock cage, deleted all lines and upgraded to 10an feed and 8 an return. I also got a Magnus rail, a1000 pump, a1000 10an afpr, and a fragola filter. Among other things but this is all about fuel.
So the fuel cell is a custom unit I had jaz build for me, 5 gallons with sump and 2 feeds, 1 return and 1 breather. Well I tried to start the car a few days ago after putting 91 in the tank and I got nothing. Today when reading I found out I still need to have the stock transistor plugged in even with the COP and arc2 set up. Dumb me left it unplugged. So I go and try to start it today and it can hear it firing.
I try a few times and I notice after every time I try to cdi box light turns off. I play with the ground and it will come back on. I try again and the car won't start and starts smoking really bad from the downpipe. I'm not running a full exhaust. I stop trying and start inspecting.
I notice I have oil coming out of where my downpipe meets the o2housing and oil coming from the turbo intake side. There's no intake pipe so I can see right in there. I also notice
I check the cell and there seems to be no gas, I only put in a half gallon a few days ago so I thought maybe I need gas. Something tells me to further inspect so I pull off the COP set up and pull the plugs. I get excited because all of them are dirty opposed to last time when one was brand new and I figured that is why the car would run like crap when I did get it start and is the reason I upgraded everything.
Anyhow, I grab my inspection camera and notice the tops of the pistons are filthy with black stuff. I check them all and it's the same in everyone of them. Upon closer inspection I notice it looks like the foam from the cell. And then I think of what was happening, I think that the tank ran low to where I have no fuel, the foam is been pushed through the lines and into the rail, through the injectors and into the block. When the cdi box does fire it causes some type of back fire instead of ignition due to no gas and causing the cdi box to be over run and turned off?.
But my question is why the heck is there foam being pushed through my system in the first place??
Why do I have oil coming from the downpipe and turbo inlet?.
What should I do about the foam on the piston tops? Should I fill up the tank with the foam, or should I take the foam out, fill it up and hope it starts. And if it starts it should burn off the derbies on the tops of the pistons correct?
I'm am really dumb founded with this situation and have no idea where to start. I don't want to continue trying to start the car if it is hurt. Foot note: everything is brand new on this car, build has been going for about 8-9 months and has only been started a couple times both in the same day but would run like crap, so it never was on for more than 30 sec.
Thank you for your time and patience, and god bless you all.
