I'm planning a 16g on a stock tsi.... I will have 16g, exhaust and 550cc injectors..

I want to do this on a budget. Can I run the 550cc evo injectors without any fuel controllers if I do a 2g maf swap? I heard that is the perfect combo, but wanted to get more input.

I don't' want to run an safc if I don't have to... Boost will be only on pump for now. so relatively low....

any input?

how much boost are u planing to make ? because if your gooing to turn up the boost you will need to tune with a safc IMO

Here's two threads about this topic. Take it as you will as there is no definite answer. Your best bet would be to try it and hook a logger up and see how it's running.

Some local guy did this and his car ran like poop down low but ran semi "normal" after 3k. Just get an safc1 and fuel pump. Put your injectors in and make the adjustments on the safc and put it in the glove box or something.
But if you want my honest opinion, why are you going to both with a big16g and nothing else? The stock 14b can do a lot if you give it a chance.

a buddy ran rc 550's, gm maf and a 16g on a stock pump at like 14psi...car ran ok... i would suggest atleast an rewired evo pump

After installing an E316G on my car it ran dangerously lean, and once I upgraded the fuel systems it ran way too rich all at stock boost levels. Every car is different, but to be on the safe side I'd at least upgrade to an evo fp ($20) and tune with an SAFC & logger. :thumb:
