So, the stock turbo for a 95 GST is a T25, if I upgrade it to the big 16G..would that be pretty quick?

I just got a small 16g ported that replaced my t25. I can tell a big difference, especially in the top end. I would recommend replacing the t2slow ASAP. :D :thumb:

Just wanted to say...I thought that red car was a Civic HB. hehehe... :D Looks kinda like it but I took a closer look. Nice ride. :thumb:

I am also thinking of going with a big16g, are there any pressing supporting mods that should go with this upgrade...fuel injectors/fuel pump/etc.?? Thanks

Ah! How dare you mistake my car for a Civic! Maybe I just took the picture at a weird angle. Hahaha, thanks for the props.

After replacing the turbo, considering you already have an intake and exhaust you should get a 3" downpipe if you don't already have one. Afterwards; fuel pump, injectors, and a fmic.

Read my mods with a b16g...I dont really lean out on the top too much. I am running 14.5-15psi and the thing is very quick. The car at 10psi was ALOT fatser than my car was with the t25 at 15-16psi was and the only different mods when comparing the setups was the turbo(and ported exhaust). With my current setup it reaches full boost at 2800-3000rpms, and has held 17psi at 7krpms, although Id never do that again on my current setup.

I read your mod list and see that your fuel mods consist of just a pump. I need to do some fuel mods so I was wondering if just changing you're pump without upgrading the injectors would make any kind of difference performance-wise.

Haha, so there is a BIG difference then. Alrighty, I'm going to go order one soon. I don't have the basic headers and exhuast, would that effect my performance? (i'll get one soon) I rather get a newer turbo than an exhuast, LOL. :thumb: I found a b16g for $575 at getboost.com, does that sound like a reasonable price?

i would go through with normal upgrades before getting a turbo upgrade.. meaning you'll probably be only safe with running 12 psi of boost and it'll suck [ not the turbos power range ]

follow the tuning guide here on dsmtuners. it'll yield better results step by step.

if you dont agree or made up your mind then here:

slowboy racing

evo III b16G ported with 34 mm flapper - 680 shipped
2g install kit - 200 shipped

clipping will increase lag but will yield better topend, i've also heard it shortens the turbo life tho...

The pump did make a big difference..it made it much saffer to boost. With my current setup 12psi I wasnt leaning out at all at 14.5-15psi I do very little at the top. With what I have done It wouldnt be safe to boost past 15psi. without any basic mods done Id keep it to stock(10-11psi) maybe 12psi but that is pushing past the limits. Yes a b16g car at 10-11psi will be faster than a similarly modded t25 car but not by much if it has no fuel, intake, and exhaust mods. with those things upgraded youll feel alot more of a difference...without them youll only get minimal gains if at all. But if you vcan get a deal buy iut and wait for other mods...or just be happy with 11psi or less its your choice.

you should upgrade your fuel injectors...
when i installed my Big16g i did it with the stock fuel system (my 780s, fuel pump and FPR were on their way) i set the boost to 8psi and i got MAAAAADDD engine knock cause i was running waaaay waaaay too lean...above 4k rpm the injector duty was 159% and i my A/f ratio was bout 21:1 it was crazyyyy....

I got my car tuned and i have it set to 18psi, although it spikes to 20, and it feels Extremly quick compared to my t25.... :thumb:

wen u first come from the t25.. yes the car will be quick.. u definitely feel the difference..
although after a while.. u'll want bigger.. just like my self.. i had t25.. now on big16g.. sooner or later to a bolt on 50 trim.. that should satisfy me for a while.. the 16g got boring.. esp after watching dyno vids of 50trim equipped dsms on pump gas.. easy 300-350.. stock internals.. and those tuned with some internals at 25~psi is 400..

this is just me.. but id personally just jump to a bolt on 50 trim.. and for 800-900.. its not bad..
