Im sure you have all seen the carbon fiber front lip for the 2gb, well is there a fiberglass version because i was planning on doing some molding and i didnt know if the carbon fiber would mold on to the fiberglass really good, thanks.

i did a search and nothing came up about this, how come people never answer my threads

Do they make one for the 1g, if not what is the company that makes that lip anyway? I defintly want to get one of those when i get a 2g.

thanks for hijaking my thread, jp :p , but no they dont sell one for the 1g, i was thinkin about gettin one made for my cousins 1990 laser, i dont know if a lip would look good for the talon or eclipse though, the bumpers on them wouldnt look good with a lip, but what would look good is if you cut the bumper in half horizontally then added some height to it, it would make it look lower and give a bigger opening for intercooler, but thats just my opinion, to each his own :)

ther was a thread previously about using a protege or some other lip on a 1g. Run a search and you might find it.

There's a plastic one at Mach V for $160 and a Carbon Fiber at ExtremeDimensions.com for $300. Couldn't find a fiberglass one. Which is stronger and which is better for painting to match the color of the car?

For a car that sees decent road time.. ABS is the way to go. It will bend before it cracks. We all know we bump parkign blocks and bottom out on curbs occasionally. If you did thatw ith a CF lip it would probably stress and crack, not to mention those nasty scuffs you would probably get on it. With the ABS you can always take it off and give it a rattlecan treatment to touch up scuffs, CF you cannot.

I'll chime in.

ABS is the way to go, it flexes, it can be "mended" a little with a heat gun (to remove a pit or little scratch), it can be painted or left au natural and still looks good. It is WAY more resistant to rock chip and road debris (including large bug) damage than `glass.

If you snub a curb just back off, you might pop the screws out of the bumber but you wont damage the lip..
if you scratch up the bottom real bad, you can just "texture" the entire underside with sandpaper and your "damage" won't show up any more.

Had an ABS lip on the `B and it was great until it fell off in traffic and got sanded down by the asphalt. (my bro had curb checked it and did not tell me so I did not retighten the screws.)

and now ill chime in.........theres is that cf paper you can thrwo a layer of that on the abs , i bet if you take your time it will look really nice.......i plan on trying this in a couple of days illlet you know how it turns out
