Front driveshafts (HELP)

I'm having a big problem locating a front driverside drive shaft for a gsx. All the stores i went to are selling a cv shaft that looks like it's the passanger shaft. (driver side shaft is longer) Where can i get a new shaft? Do i have to go to a dealer or what? Am i missing something here?

Please help i need the shaft by saturday

Try the dealer for new axles.

Try www.raxles.com for remanufactured axles. The prices they quoted me were $120 for the passenger side and $150 for the driver side.

raxles are 2 or 3 times stronger than the factory cv shafts. They are def. worth the little extra money. Plus they will make sure you get the right ones, unlike Autozone and other parts stores.....

Don't AWD DSM's use equal length half shaft? I thought that AWD's had a shaft on the driver side that was bolted to the car allowing the entry of a equal length shaft.

Yes, drivers side is two parts, just replaced mine last weekend...takes 30 minutes or so.

Check www.vfaq.com and for sure call Marty @ Raxles www.raxles.com , you don't want an autozone POS in there.
