I think my Front balance shaft seized up the reasion i think this is because when i pulled off my front cover to see if my timing tensioner was bad i take a look at the B. Shaft belt and its missing all the teeth off it!!!!! i am guessing it was the front because if the back one would have seized wouldnt it have stoped the oilpump thus stoping the timing belt? has anybody els had this problem and would it be easier to replace the bearing (if there is any on the front one) or just do an eliminator kit and fallow the Vfaq??? and also is it possible to leave the front one and just put a stub shaft in the back or do i have to remove both of them??? Thanks for the help :dsm:

Yes, you can leave the front one in and put the stub on the rear one. Mostly this is what you do with the motor still in the car, since its a major pain to get the front shaft out unless the motor is out.
