Alright, I sheared off the outboard 1/8 inch of splines on my "intermedite shaft" (sp). The shaft I'm referring to is the one that comes out of the drivers side of the transmission, and runs across the back of the engine, where the CV axle slides over it. The CV worked its way out to the point where it sheared the splines off.

My question here is, will the fwd drivers side axle slide into the trans? Also, will it interfere with stock suspension components.

Come on gents (and ladies, I know there are a few). Will the axle fit the splines on the hub and in the trans? Will the longer axle interfere with the suspension? Need help here guys!

I'm pretty sure that it will fit into the transmission. It will however interfere with the transfer case. I can't tell you rather or not that the lock ring will actually lock in the awd differential, regardless it won't fit with the transfer case there.

Ok, does anyone know where I can get that intermediate shaft and support bearing assembly besides the dealer? The shaft alone is $300 and 2 days. Olympus maybe? DSMgraveyard sell that maybe?
