Well I just installed my 3rd gen lifters went to start the car up and it started but the idle was really rough and it bogged and died. I went back to look at the engine and I noticed the o2 sensor wiring came apart. For some reason there is only one side of the wire harness (sensor side) and the other side just has connectors for the prongs. I tried to put it back togeather using my manual but I dont think it was right. Now all it will do is turn over but it wont start and I dont know which wire goes where. I Have a diagram of the wires. Hopefully someone can help me. Thanks

The factory O2 sensor has 4 wires: blue, white and 2 black wires. The two black wires are for positive and negative battery connections for the heater in the O2 sensor. (doesn't matter positive or negative for a heater element). The Blue and white wires are for the O2 reading to the computer. Blue is positive and white is Negative. (Don't argue, I'm right. Even though white is usually a positive voltage color it's not with O2 sensors. Go check if you don't believe me)

ok.. I put the wires togeather for the 02 sensor. I tried to start it but it still wont start. I can get it to turn over but thats it. When it bogged out and died the first time, I smelt gas and I thought maybe it was just running too rich so I let it sit over night. Does anyone know why it would do this?

Unplug the sensor completely and the car will still run. Try to start it w/out the sensor. It's not the o2 sensor problem. I drove w/out the sensor plugged in for a year on my previous DSM. Although you should still fix the sensor problem, for proper performance.

I think I blew the fuse on the battery terminal (mpi) when i tried to reconnect the wires the first time and start it. I did replace the fuse but no luck. Could I have blow anything else? Could the ECU be fried?

I had the same problem and had to pull all the plugs and clean them with a wire wheel on a dremel (gently) and it fired right up after that. Plugs were just fouled badly
