My friend did the same thing it actually blew out the alternator fuse under the hood, which you have to unbolt to get out. I would check that first.

One time my friend clicked the red with the black, while the other end was connected to his car. (this occured after he jumped his car) As he did this... ME = thinking "HUGE WTF"... yeah, at that instant the vehicle died. It was funny. Never did start again, something broke I can't remember what.

I did the same thing while working on my car drunk(yeah I know stupid). Ended up blowing the ALT fuse and the fuse for my amp in the cockpit. The car will do weird things with and ALT fuse blown. Its like a 3.00 fix.

Ya I know what you mean, my AC doesnt work nor do the windows

Thanks to all who responded before.....my friend tryed to jump my car in the dark and didn't realize that he got the pos and neg switched....Now my car has no AC, and the windows do not work...I checked the fuse box inside and outside of the car and none were blown.....pls help

If your lucky you only blew the 100 amp fuse that goes to the alternator and that's it no more damage done. If your unlucky confusious say your dewercs because you just fried your entire electrical system. DC components were not designed for current to flow backwards only in motors can you get away with reversing of current. If the 100amp fuse has blown before any current had made it backwards through wiring then your good to go , otherwise see what confucius say........

dewercs is screwed spelled backwards.

Probably blew a fuse link. You will need a schematic.

Also, you may be the lucky recipient of a fried pcm, alternator, and anything else with diodes.

It really pays to be careful.

Good Luck
