The B&M Command Flow is not a pressure regulator it is a pressure riser. All you have done by installing it is raise your base fuel pressure and probably started overunning the injectors even worse. Some people say you can tune out the 255's overrun with a SAFC but I don't think that is the best option, it is very difficult to tune a non-linear fuel curve. You need an AFPR with the 255 so you can lower your base fuel pressure back to stock levels and keep the steady 1:1 pressure rise. In short, no, you cannot get by with the B&M, you should have an AFPR. Further you might want to consider larger injectors for that B16G, you'll find the stock 450's run out of steam pretty quickly at higher boost levels. Hope this helps.

You need one that is adjustable both ways. The B&M one is garbage.

Aeromotive is your friend.

Well, considering that 680's flow considerably more fuel than 450's at stock fuel pressure; I imagine that with a 255 and a B&M pressure RISER you will be running so rich that your car will be close to undrivable. If you install those 680's then you need an AFPR, end of story. With stockers you might get away with it but your car will never be "well tuned". Buy a good AFPR, log your data, tune your SAFC= car runs correctly. (with luck and skill)

That's what I have always heard. However.... someone local to me was having some "richness" problems after he put in a 255 Walbro and 550cc injectors without any fuel control. (Ya think? )

I popped open his hood and saw he had a B&M installed. I grimaced. His fuel gauge said 50psi base fuel pressure. (You want it around 43 on a 2G) I started adjusting the B&M, expecting nothing to happen. But you know what? It worked! I was able to turn the fuel pressure down to 43psi! I can only assume that because the pump was not rewired, it didn't outflow the stock FPR. Very strange.

Of course this didn't help the fact he was injecting about 20% more fuel than needed. DSMLink took care of that. Next thing I knew he was running faster than me on pump gas. Curses! OMG
