FP Red with 7cm or 8cm housing...

Ok, I was recently given a FP Red turbo with the 8cm housing. I currently have an FP Green with the 7cm housing on my car right now. I have had good luck with the green and love it, but there is that part of me that wants more power. The car is a daily driver with occasional trips to the drag strip. I am debating if I should use this turbo with the 8cm housing or swap the exhaust housings with the green. I have the supporting mods to run the turbo, but I have heard that with the 8cm there would be more lag then with the 7cm housing. Should I swap the housings and run the Red or just use the Red as it is. Any help or insight would be helpful. The car is going to be down for a while, getting trans rebuilt and one of the turbos will be sold before it gets back together. So, I kinda need help to decide. Thanks in advance for the help.

Most run it with the 8cm as far as ive seen. But the turbo is already decently 'laggy'. Might not want it for a mostly daily driven car/street bruise only for the fact the green is probly the perfect street turbo IMO.

But the 7cm would be the better choice if your car is mostly street driven.

i say give the 8cm a try! if your car is set up right, the lag shouldn't be that bad at all! plus, power is the key, if you ask me! slap on the 8cm and "HOLD ON"!
