Fouled plugs?

So just for ships and giggles I decided to pull my plugs and clean em... I noticed they were pretty fouled but I wasnt getting any misfire codes. Ive had an idle problem since I got the car as im sure anyone who has read some of my other threads knows... so heres the thing.... can fouled plugs cause the car to idle rough and die but not send out a misfire code?


Cause I pulled em, cleaned em, reconnected my TPS (only way I can drive in traffic without the car constantly stalling on me) and it runs great now. It still stalls sometimes but now it doesnt surge like it was.

The plug on the far drivers side of my 1990 GSX always seems to foul before the other ones. Any idea what the issue is and how to fix it?

Maybe burning oil there from worn rings or headgasket. Do a compression test.
