I have played both games. Gt4 is a great game, but as far as graphics's go Forza Motorsports is the best. I really like both but I have always been a GT fan so I like it better. Both games have their ups and downs like everything else out there... :thumb:

Forza all the way gt4 is a great game but forza is just more fun. in the end it comes down to which is funner right?

Considering its Forza's first try as opposed to GT's 4th try, I've got to give Forza credit. I've played both games, and personaly like the imersion better in Forza. Drifting is way better in Forza too

I have both, but forza has been getting more play. I def like it better :thumb:

I think the driving in Forza is a little more fun, and very realistic? Like when you turn all the assists off on a old muscle car, after you upgrade it, its so fun trying to control!

But this is going to be like Camaro v. Mustang, dont you think? Me and my friends could argue about the games all day, but they are both so fun!

Forza owns GT4

Damage,funfactor,realism,sounds,everything..
I love it.

Have you played Forza yet?If not you need to play it.No,you cant take photos of your car.
But unlike GT4 thiers damage, and the damage is so very realistic and affects your cars performance. Not only that but if you look closly after you hit a gaurdrail/wall etc. you can see the leftover paint.
Brake hard around a corner and hit the right analog stick to view the side of the car, while braking excessivly your rotors glow bright red as they would in real life.
Drop the clutch and leave strips of rubber on the pavement, with smoke pouring from your tires.
Listen closely while you shift in your turbocharged car and hear your bov, blow off.

You wont find any of that in GT4 :sneaky:

Forza beats GT4 hands down. Forza is much more realistic than gt4, although both are simulations of driving, Forza adds much much more to the game. Being this is one of the first driver simulations for the xbox, it does one hell of a good job at being realistic :thumb: . As for gt4, Gran Turismo has been in the running for years and years. They've had time to figure out what needs to be done to the game to make it better for another title. As for Forza, this is their 1st game, and this being the begining, Forza has done a much better job than gt4.

(and they've got a talon :sneaky: )

Who cares about damage modeling, if us PS2 owners wanted it bad enough we would go out and buy Toca Race Driver, get the damage modeling and a Eagle Talon AWD.

I've played both games and I must give the win to Forza on this. It's the little things in Forza that really make it so great. It may lack the rally driving that GT4 has but the way everything melds together and the way gameplay flows makes up for anything you may think it lacks. The menu music plays all the time and if you don't like it, just throw on your own soundtrack :rocks: . Xbox only benefits like that just can't be beat. Also the car customization, real recognizable body kits, personalized decals, down hills, up hills, and the free run auto cross courses. It's all awesome and it makes for such a good game. My vote goes to Forza which means the score so far is:

GT4: 4 :notgood:
Forza: 7 :thumb:

And I must say the general concensus states that Forza kicks ass and is beating GT4. Come on GT fans, get your votes out there, or could it be possible that more people like Forza than GT....... nah, that could be right..... right? :p

LOL thats funny but you can see "rotors glow bright " in GT4 OMG so whats the point of seeing the side of the car that is why there is Replay, and the smoke pouring from your tires thing GT4 has that to, and whos cares about the the damageWTF
forza wish they can be as tight as GT4 and whats with " customization, real recognizable body kits, personalized decals" WTF GT4 is a simulation game not :tease: midnight club
and its not needforspeed so this thread should be called :tease: "Forza vr. midnight club"
so I have to give forza :notgood: you cant mess with a legend GT4 :nono:so forza  to GT4 YOU DAD LOL!

Ok I played FORZA in EB LOL, but I own GT4. First impressions of it was that it has cool damage, graphics aren't really better than GT4. One thing I didn't like about Forza was the framerate. GT4 does a whopping 60 frames per second and is very smooth, but Forza is doing like half of it, so that alone is a turn off for me, I NEED FULL FRAMES TO FEEL GREAT! They should combine GT4 and Forza LOL. Thats my .02 cents.

So your saying that putting on a body kit for your car isn't realistic? Hmm, so I guess customizing a paint scheme for your car isn't realistic either. I don't see racing teams out there with plain paint and stock body kits. And damage, how can you say that gt4 is a simulator when there is no damage. there is no button in real life that turns damage off. Plus it keeps you from being cheap and using the wall as a guide around the corner. And for the most gt4 is not a legend, the legend stopped after gt2. For anybody that reads this if you have any other gt game don't bother picking up gt4 its the same exact game at its core. Only some new lighting effects have changed as far as graphics. :notgood: Plus for the DSMers forza has got 2g eagle and Mitsubishi. The worst thing about gt4 was its sense of speed. When your going 80 it feels like 20. Next time go get some cash and get forza before you start putting it down. Only once you play it you will know that forza is the better game. Denial isn't just a river in Egypt.

I own all of the GT series games and I think that GT2 was the best. GT4 is definitely good but, no customization or damage sucks. If it's a true simulation, we should be able to do whatever we want to the cars. I also own Forza. Great game! Graphics aren't as nice as GT4 but they're good enough. Overall I say Forza is the winner!

I finally was able to try Forza out for the first time not too long ago. The first thing I noticed was that the graphics are definitely NOT better than GT4. The car models aren't all that great, but I did notice that the tracks looked pretty nice, don't know why but it looked like they put more time into the detail of the tracks.

The physics are pretty accurate, I don't usually notice physics unless they are really off so that's a good thing. Damage is a plus, I would like to see that in the GT series sometime but who knows if that'll ever happen.

Although Forza has considerably less cars available, the manafacturers we don't see in other simulation games like Ferrari and Porsche are there for your to gawk at. However the one thing I just wish GT would have is an engine swap option...holy shit. I bought an EG Hatch (I think it's an EG) and threw in a K20A and that thing was pushing 500fwhp spinning all the way to about 120 or so. Also bought a S14 and put a RB26DETT in it, that was fun.

However I base my overall conclusion on repeatability, and I just see myself playing GT4 more than I would Forza.

3 words, MOTOR effin SWAPS. Since most of you guys on this board are probably into import car tuning, Forza is the only game that lets you do most of the popular motor swaps (turbo b18c in a little CRX is fun, just as a sr20t in a 240 is). This feature alone is sweet enough for motor heads, but there are other things such as the ability to choose between supercharger or turbo (which acually make a difference). You can hear the difference as well. Superchargers make their obvious whine while upgraded turbos make louder spooling and blowoff off noises.

Anyways I've been a GT fan for a long time and have 1 through 4, but the game really started feeling stale (ie same old same old). Forza brings a whole lotta life into the sim racer game, which is why I enjoy it much more.

Also, the bodykits and decals are a nice addition. Not as deep as NFSU, but better than not having it at all.

Yeah in forza with the engine swaps, My fav was the old Porche 911 like 1970 something and you could swap a porche gt2 engine in it and with full mods get it up to 762hp and 700 ft. lbs. And when you drove the car it was impossible. :thumb:

Also I like after playing if for only 30 minutes, I have a Silvia with like 500hp.

Even though ive never played GT4 ive heard about it and from what I've heard I like forza a lot.

Ive played both, forza is more fun and the mods are more detailed, motor swaps are just sick (h22 turbo crx, rb26det 240sx, 2jz is300 are my favorite so far). Gt4 is more realistic and more of a driver's game. Forza also lets you buy alot of mods for cheap where as gt4 requires lots of $.

If you like to hook cars up and have fun, forza is for u. Forza has the body kit, stickers and paint aspect of Need for speed U. Forza also gives you more horsepower.
If you like to hook cars up to run quick laps and experience virtual racing at its finest, gt4 is for u.

Last but not least, the computer in forza tends to hit you and run you off course alot more than gt4. :notgood:

I own a ps2 and i own evry gt so im sort of partial. ;)

I'll vote for Forza because its simply a better game all around. Motor swaps, online play, car customization, it has it all. I own both and GT gets tiring/dull after so long. Its the same game as GT3 w/more cars. I think someone said 50 Skylines...do you need that many?

Forza :thumb:

GT :notgood:

I love how Nurburgring is 5 cars wide on Forza. Way to go on the realism, MS!

Maybe they should have spent less time on "custom" features and more on providing a better sim. As an arcade racer, it is excellent, though.

Well i have both games. Its hard to say which is a better game. GT4 is more realistic i think as far as driving goes. Except it doesn't have car damage. I also feel that the car graphics are better. The control of the cars on GT4 is better also. Better brakes and suspension make more effect then they do on Forza. On Forza i put brakes on my EVO and it still brakes like crap. The only problems i have with GT4 is it took off the ghost so for testing it isn't as good. Also the two player mode is bugged so you can't turn on traction control on your own cars. So it makes racing in 2 player mode useless unless you use AWD cars or if you don't use your own cars. As with Forza like i said the braking sorta sucks. The graphics aren't as good. It does have a good amount of cars in it. I like the fact that you can customize your paint and body kits if you want to. The engine swaps are very cool.

I think as a 1 player game only without the internet i think GT4 is a better game. But for 2 players and if you choose to have online gaming then Forza is a better game. Forza screwed up though cuz they didn't put my Galant VR4 on it like GT4 did. But at least they have some DSM's.
