Hello all. I just purchased a 1991 Talon TSi AWD but I am not necessarily new to DSM's, my first car was a 1992 Talon TSi AWD. However, I have been in the SRT-4 world for a while and am basically starting over with DSM knowledge. In the SRT-4 world wastegate actuators are a very common upgrade but I a didnt find much information about the subject here. I am interested in the Forge Wastegate Actuator that extremepsi.com offers. I searched but I was unable to locate any information about it, but I did see a few people mention its existence. Is there anyone that is using this actuator? Is it not mentioned because it is a worthless upgrade or something? I plan to keep the 14b and was hoping that this would be as easy an upgrade on my Talon as it was on my SRT-4. I appologize if this subject has actually been covered. Thank you for your time and information.:talon:

Does anyone have this mod? I am curious myself, because if it can open the flapper more than stock, it'd be a great way to help control boost creep.

I think the reason most people don't upgrade their internal WGA's is probably the only people that need it are ones running High boost that can't be achieved with the stock actuator. The stock actuator has a 10psi spring and therefore can hold about 20psi before it blows open. Do you plan on running more than 20psi on the 14b? If not, then you really don't need it. And even if you did want to run really crazy boost on that small little 14b then most people get away with adding washers on the bolts between the compressor housing and the WGA mount. That will put more pressure on the WGA to hold it shut at higher boost levels.

Which would you rather buy $0.25 washers or $165.00 WGA??

That still doesn't help to answer my question, but did give me some insight. My question is does the Forge actuator have more diaphragm travel, therein opening the flapper wider to help eliminate boost creep?

I've been looking around and noticed a few people are fabricating up ways to help with boost creep. I went to the forge website and read about the WGA they sell. They can make custom spring rates for them as well. I think for the price its not really bad idea of trying to help with boost creep for 16G turbos. Has anyone tried this out yet ?

Did anyone ever end up buying one of these. I bought one and it seems like the arm is way too long to go on the flapper. I cant find any way to shorten it or just to get it on!!
