Forced Performance Intake Filter Question FP

Interested in the FP 4" intake but I don't see why they charge $70 for a filter. I found a website that offers the K & N Filters and list them by size. You need a 4" Round Straight or Round Tapered Filter for the FP Intake Pipe.

I personally like the Tapered filters instead of the Straight ones.

RU-2520 is 5" long

RC-2600 with a chrome top is also 5" long

Ofcourse you get get a 7" or 8" long filter, but the 5" long one will work fine.

Unless your buying one of FP's turbos with a 4" inlet (3065 etc....) there is no point to having a 4" intake. It is way too big for anything else.

That's true, however FP does make an adapter to fit smaller turbos.
