Hey guys. I'm looking for a turbo to produce about 500hp and I did some research and found the Forced Performance Fp30's. Does anybody know anything about these, besides whats on the website? (forcedperformance.com). Or if anybody knows a better turbo that will produce 500hp and has a better spool up?

Thanx

Honestly you should learn to use the search button... but to answer your question their isn't a turbo shop better than FP. For 500hp a 3052 will fit perfectly but you are not in the postion to buy or tune this turbo yet.

Agreed FP is great! Check out AGP slowboy as well. If your looking for good spool up slowboy has a 475hp rated 44lb/min gt11 if i recall right.the 12 puts 500hp but has a 55lb/min if i remember. What do you plan to do with a 500hp set up that you need quick spool? (just asking)

Also look into a precision SC61. Although it is not ball bearing, it is also capable of producing these numbers and it is cheaper. That's the one I went with ... but trust me ... build your motor before you plan to put down 500 hp because who knows how long it will last if you don't.

375whp is just about 500hp either turbo will make that kind of power easily. However of the two the 3052 should spool a little quicker.

I dont think 44lbs is good enough for 475hp or why isn't the evo16 laying down some really fat numbers, it has the same flow rating

Sorry about that.... Heres the correct info.

SBR-GT11
The GT 11 turbo is rated at a 475hp turbo.

Compressor side:
• 52 trim
• 2.17 inducer
• 3.00 exducer
• 50 lb/min compressor wheel I was thinking the same thing after i poseted so i went to look .

OK, 3052 has full boost at about 3400 rpm on built motor and 3065 has 3800 rpm for full boost on built motor, :thumb:

Sorry , thats what I heard was generalized, this one guy at dsmeet had the 65 and he was hittin full boost at 3800, and he had a built ass motor. ANother guy said his friend ran the 52 and was hitting boost at 3400, and theres threads about it too.

The evo wheel is not rated at that. All turbo ratings can be exceeded but some portion. I think only one person has reached that much airflow on the evo 16. I think he is the only one I have heard about over 40.

"built ass" being a 2.3L/2.4L I imagine.

Not necessarily true my friend runs the 3052 on a stock motor 2g with 272 hks cams and he gets 20psi by 3300-3400. He said if he knew it was gonna spool this quick he would have gone with the 3065
He recently went up to great lakes dragway in wisconsin and ran a 12.2 @116 with shitty traction gettin him 1.8 60ft's
