My car is stock (93 AWD), and I have just rebuilt the trans and engine about 10k ago. I need a new clutch to install with my fresh tranny, but dont really want to spend the money on the ACT(which now is sounding kinda iffy) but want something that will hold the car if i let it get a rolling start(10mph) then floor it. I had a replacement clutch from Advance Auto Parts but that turned out to be a piece of shit. I don't know how well the original OEM clutch works, but I am looking at that cause its cheap and SHOULD be able to hold a stock car. To anyone who drove an AWD on a stock clutch with a stock car, how did it hold/perform and would you recommend it for a daily driver/ not a lot of abuse but likes to go fast sometimes kinda driving style? Thanks in advance. :talon:

Give me 4 days, and I'll let you know :)

*prays to the Fedex people to get his ECU here ASAP.

mines got 40k on it...

pretty decent, but still need to get rid of the accumulator, after pulling the restrictor it still doesn't feel solid for split second...

think this one is about ready to be changed out as it felt more solid when brand new.
and I dont drag race it or anything, but it has had a few hard launches and a few slips.

I really would like to feel like it is 100% locked up as soon as I shift, but it doesn't feel that way, although it doesn't slip with the pedal full out... it just feels kind of "soft"?

i would just spend 300 and get the exedy single organic clutch. I had that clutch in my 90 gsx for two years without any problems always had a good pedal feel held 18-20psi every once and while held many many launches and plenty of donuts. I would just get that instead of the stock one i had a stock one and lasted 3 months.

when I bought my car there was a clutch installed 8 months prior, last owner was very easy on the car, six months later I'm pricing a new clutch because it's gone. I got a Centerforce DF and it's fantastic, holds solid and no incresed pedal and still very high holding capacity.

my car is a 95 talon tsi awd but for me on the other hand i want it to be a bit harder to press down on and when i get off of it ill know thats its locked in place. n e ideas on what i can get i aready have a fidenza ultralight flywheel and i need something that will be able to handle the amount of abuse i will be inflicting on it (by far a lot or racing) thanks for the help if you can
