Thought you guys would find this interesting....

This is a Mitsubishi Mirage tuned by Andre/Speedtech Motorsport in New Zealand - still running the T51R Kai at "wastegate pressure" it has managed a 9.002 @ 155mph this weekend just passed and is still a fresh setup... its fair to say its going to be able to go a fair bit quicker yet.

This weekend that car, Zoheb Razaks EVO (with a PB of 8.6) and Andre Simon's EVO (with a PB of 8.2) are all due to race at a drag meet in NZ which was initially intended to be a shoot out between the two fastest Skyline GTRs in the world - HKS (7.67) and Heat Treatments (7.57).

It seems it could now end up seeing the two fastest EVOs in the world shooting it out anyway so with the meet having an AWD Mitsubishi possibly cracking into the 8s, and two EVOs possibly pushing towards the 7s....

You're not really missing TOO much, I thought the thread might go into more detail about whats in store for this car and this weekend but it didn't. Basically it looks like the car has a lot more in it. It runs a similar setup to Speedtech Motorsport's "DOCILE" EVO 3 which has done a 8.2 so far, but runs a T51R-Kai instead of SPL - though runs on methanol and has a tube frame front end.
