...Could you help me identify the following clutch:

Product Code: 05048 DKN (the letter DKN im not exactly sure if they were included in the product code or not...)

My results were the following...

05048A 1996-03 ECLIPSE 4CYL 2.4L
05048A 1996-1999 ECLIPSE SPYDER 4CYL 2.4L

This is an OEM Replacement clutch from exedy ... it was shipped to my mechanic yesturday under warrenty for the napa clutch they put in which has been slipping, for replacement in my 1998 GST Eclipse... 2.0L. :notgood: Why on earth would they send me this if its listed for 2.4L's i dont know but that may be why my clutch is slipping now, unless anyone knows if this clutch is also fitted for 2.0L Turbo 7bolt and just not listed on www.exedyusa.com. The only clutches for Turbo applications on exedy are stage1 organic clutches and up.

A 2.4L puts out what 141 hp stock? would it make sense that if somehow im running an oem replacement 2.4L clutch that it would slip under the power my car makes

Yea
It may be the same clutch as far as fitment goes, but it probably does not have the holding power you need. I had this problem with my fc3s.
