Mounted my FMIC and now I'm running hot. Bought new slim fans which helps with idle, but when cruising around I'm still hot. So, I had this idea....

Has anyone ever used a lower "ram air" type scoop to force fresh air up between the IC and AC/Radiator? I'm guessing that the combination of lower flow + warmer air coming off the IC could be supplemented by adding a little fresh air. The only potential problem I see is turbulence which may actually reduce airflow even more... but I don't think this would be the case because it is much lower in volume than air coming through the IC, and should be at a lower velocity.

(I'm probably reinventing the wheel here, but haven't seen anything on it). I've got a fiberglass mockup in progress that I'll test ASAP, but wanted some opinions/feedback in the meantime.

Here is a rudimentary side-view diagram of what I have in mind.

Been done and helps, A LOT.

Also people take the "mouth" in the bumper and add in ducting there. Almost sectioning off the whole IC and RAD area altogether, and then also throwing in the "scoop" or "ram air" cooling. People have described this method almost cooling too much though, so be careful. But just the scoop should do you good!
