I hit my brand new Fidanza flywheel with a hammer and put a dent in it my question is can I have the flywheel rebalanced separately or do I have to replace the whole thing?

If you dented the aluminum, it's probably fine. If the hammer actually removed metal from the flywheel you may want to consider a rebalance, although I'm not convinced a mark that small is going to make any difference at all.

Why the heck would you do that? I would suggest a rubber mallet next time you wanna hit something soft. But like jusmx141 said as long as there is no material removal you should be fine.

I was tapping new trans dowels in next to the flywheel I didn't purpously take a hammer to my alum flywheel. :ohdamn: I know its not damaged enough to make the flywheel fail, but it did dispalace some material. A few grams of inbalance just inches off center can cause alot of unecessary force on the crank and seeing this is a brand new build with expesive internals I want it to last. That said is it possible to balance the flywheel and pressure plate seperate from the crank?
