Flutter sound??

when i spool up my turbo then let off the gas it has a flutter sound...the BOV has a high pitch flutter sound and i can here the intake flutter to...is that bad? is the balance messed up>?

What kind of BOV is it? Sounds like compresor surge to me. Very bad on the turbo.

definitely comp surge. if it's adjustable try loosening it a bit [ maybe a 360* turn ]

i prolly should have said this in the first place but i have a 91 gsx and a jetta 1.8t... the flutter is with the 1.8t and i dont know if its normal or what. i dont know much about jettas. also sometimes when i give it gas i can here the intake flutter evan though i didnt let off the gas. if its comp surge how can i fix it. thanks fellas.

if it's on the VW, chances are you're hearing the diverter valve..
