Hey folks, just took my eclipse out for a short cruise around the neighborhood to make sure the recent transmission line repair was holding up alright. I left the car running after pulling back into the driveway and looked under the car for leaks, Well no leaks but the flex pipe under the engine was smoking pretty bad. Didnt run through anything wet and no transmission fluid was on it. The whole exhaust is brand new and has been driven on for a few months. Just curious as to why just that section is smoking? Any ideas? I only drove it 1 lap around the neighborhood, maybe 1 mile.

Is it leaking exhaust and thats why its smoking or is it just burning something off the outside of the pipe. Maybe some left over oil that was on it. I would drive the car for a bit to burn anything off that may be on the pipe and then recheck it. If its leaking exhaust it may be a bad flex section.
