Hey guys, new to the forum (chill on the flaming)

Anyways, I'm looking to do a first mod to my "new" 99 GST that I just picked up.

Basically, I plan to do Intake, Full Exhaust, and probably stage II clutch within the month as my first mods.

Anyways, I've seen these "dejon tool" intakes around...my question is, which one do I get???

http://www.dsmtuners.com/parts/default.php?cPath=3_141_53 I'm looking at these, and I really dont know the diff between the 3. I've got a blitz BOV right now, but thats it.

Any advice would be appreciated. and YES i did search...with no specific responses found.

Thanks guys

Take a look at the Extreme Motorsports D.I.S. intake system I hear that it does good things. I am running the Injen intake system which is a very nice piece.

Can you show me a link to this Extreme motorsports intake? I wasnt really planning to change up the intake choice...but if you say this is a better choice or someting else would do me better please let me know. I want a solid intake, not a cheap POS

there are lots of good intakes out there besides dejon tool. they do make a good intake though. i have an injen intake on my car and its an excellent choice. kinda pricey though. the extreme motorsports intake referred to before is an excellent intake as well, i know a couple guys with that intake. hope u find what ur looking for.

I say, save a few bucks and get the extrempsi intake, or save even more and get an ebay deal.
Use the cash you saved to buy a water injection setup :thumb:

I'm not even kidding, I wish my first mods were a boost guage > intake > water injection. :rocks:

You said your running a Blitz BOV. Meaning your Bov does not recirculate into your intake? Here read this

http://www.dsmtuners.com/forums/showthread.php?s=&threadid=834&highlight=venting+atmosphere

As for the intake, an intake is an intake as long as it fits right and has a tube to allow you to recirculate. Unless you have a"blow through" setup but then again, you seem to be in the beginning stages of modding your car so the blow through is aways down the line. So dont worry about that.

Do a search on ebay you can find intakes for like 80 bucks that bolt up to your t25 and come with adapters to connect to your 2g MAS. Dejon is a bit overpriced on there intakes. I mean a pipe is a damn pipe. Also checkout ExtremePSI they have a pretty good deal on an intake with a filter. I think majority of the people on this site have had the injen intake at one point or another. I know I did.

Hey yeah I believe I DO vent to the atmosphere....but how do I know? I know my BOV goes "WHOOOSSHHHH" when it goes off....is that proof enough? I'm still having a hard time understanding.

Also I know i have a tube coming off my intake with a plug on the end of it...I have no idea what that is.

god im starting to get majorly confused...i bought the car with the BOV...so I didnt know anything about it.

have you looked at dejontool.com? they have more than 3 intake pipes... just read up on that site and it will say what each one has... they should all be similar performance wise, it just depends on what you have... ie recirc bov, stock maf or gm maf in stock location, or like i will be doing when i get my intake, nothing at all, (blow through) just find out what all the 4 things on your stock intake are and which ones you want to keep and which you want to get rid of... along with which maf you want to use and where you want it to be

as for the 4 things
bov dump

fuel fumes thingy, dont remeber what its called, but its the hose that lets the fumes from the gas into your intake

i forgot the other two,....

i have the injen intake system it was pricey but i loved the results. i did have the TURBO XS H RFL bov that vented to the atmosphere but my car ran VERY rich. i ended up getting the TURBO XS RFL which vents back into the intake i liked the results much better. the only difference i have seen with the dejon tool intake is that it does not have the nipples for the other hoses that attach to the stock intake or the injen intake.

read what the intake company has to say about the intake and try to make a decision that you will be happy with. a few of my friends have gone through two or three intakes before they found the one that worked the best.

if you dont have a larger hose from the BOV that connects to the intake, then you are venting. If you have a hose that goes from BOV on to a ..damn what ya call it..Not nipple..bigger then that, on the intake tube then you are recurculating= what our cars have from factory.Hose would ba about an inch or bigger.

I have a 2,75" Dejon Tool intake tube on my Spyder and I am very happy with it. Its the recurculated style on that one.

See the small pipe that comes up? Thats where the hose from the BOV should be if you are recurculating. If you dont have a similar one on your pipe now that the BOV connects to then you are venting:
