the thing thats confusing me is the o2 is staying at .96-.98 which is pretty good right? and its making the timing horrible. im a newbie at tuning please help me out :D

Your log looks pretty good. What are your mods?
As for the basics, you want the timing to drop to 9-10 degrees at the start of boost than steadily rise as rpms rise and at the top of 6500 rpms you want at least 15-18 degrees of timing. The key thing is that it rises nicely. Any flatline or dips usually means knock in which you would richen that rpm. (On 2G's you cannot log knock so this is your way of knowing) As for the O2 's, don't have to concentrate too much on that. ITs not accurate enough to tune with. What you want to see is at least .94V. below that is too lean. You can log O2's to make sure your engine is not starving for fuel but thats it. As long as your timing rises, it indicates that your ECU is happy. And when the ECU is happy, than you are happy!!! :D That the basics for a 2G

Start in 3rd gear at about 2500ish and punch it from there, go all the way till redline....Then show us that :thumb:

That log looks pretty good...if not alittle on the rich side.

We only need the first o2 bank BTW.

so that log looks good? thats kinda dissapointing cause the car really feels like it loses power in the top end and i was hoping it was just tuning. i ran a 14.6 with all my mods at the track a couple months ago and thats just horrible...

What are your knock counts like?

not sure your experince with DSM etc etc but a 2G can not log knock unless the person has DSMlink. Like I said not sure if you knew that or not but I see people asking us 2G guys all the time whats your knock count. Not being a smartass or dipshit just letting you know.later

OK, Thanks. I didn't know you couldn't log knock on 2Gs. Now I know. I have only been working with DSMs for about 8-9 months and I have a 1G so I am still learning. OMG

The newest version of the S-AFC 2 can log knock on a 2g, also a palm/pocketlogger and a knockbox can log it, but still DSMlink is the way to go.

I really wish people wouldn't post information unless they were 100% sure. If you're not 100% sure, then don't post it because you will just spread incorrect information.

NO, it can not. I can find you a dozen posts of people who have tried it on a 1g and 2g car, and it does not work for either the 1g or 2g cars.

Umm, NO again. Do you know what information can come out of 1g OBDI and 2g OBDII? Apparently not. 2g OBDII does not have any access to the ecu knock count value. 1g OBDI does. So a 1g OBDI pocketlogger can see knock, or the knockbox which only hooks up to 1g cars can see knock, but NOT on a 2g car.

DSMLink is the ONLY way to go if you want to see true 2g ecu knock. But you pay a very high price for it.

I thought that was directed at me at first then I read the rest of the post. I was like I'm 100% sure you cant log knock on a 2G unless you have dsmlink LOL :p I'm cool now LOL so it's all good LOL.
