well figured i would post up my build so far. the car has been a work in progress for the past year and on and off the road many times with different set-ups. hopefully this time around i will be happy enough to leave it alone. :cool: i was looking for a decent street driven dsm. didnt go with the forged internals, due to i didnt feel like dealing with piston slap and other personal reasons. also for the fact i feel i will never reach the limit of my stock bottom end. i was looking to get a solid 400-450 whp car. also i wanted to have easy tuneability so i just went witha keydiver chip, s-afc, logger and wideband. in my expierence i have had great luck with this. just a few pics due to parts being every where right now. right now im only waiting on my transmission from jnz tuning. i had it rebuilt with double sync second, heavy duty 3-4 and a few other odds and ends. let me know what you guys think and thanks for the space.

I would highly recommend getting the head prof. ported. I can't count how many time's people brought heads to me wondering why there car didn't feel any better and they flow tested worse than stock. Porting isn't helping anything unless you have all the equipment to measure the bore's and keep them consistant in all cylinders. Otherwise you have cylinders getting more air than others and running leaner than other ones.
 
funny thing about the flowing of a head thing. i went to tech in high school and was actually taught how to flow a head and measure readings on our flow bench that we had. after i graduated i kept a good relationship with my teacher, we both drag race bike, his a little fater then my stock 750 but thats a different story. in any case the had was ported using the flow bench and i did pick up good cfm. dont have the number near by there somewhere though. the only thing i worried about was the fact i did not have the intake manifold bolted on during the tests so i dont know if that will effect me in a bad way, i sure hope not, LOL.
