I have a Fidanza aluminum flywheel and 3.2 clutch ready to be installed. Do I need to have them balanced together? The Fidanza website says that because their flywheels are CNC machined, they are very close to balanced, but they still recommend the flywheel and clutch pressure plate be balanced together.
I can't find a whole lot of information about balancing them. I take it most people simply bolt them on and go. I had my clutch replaced many years ago and I know the shop didn't balance the flywheel and/or clutch pressure plate and I never noticed any bad vibrations over the past 50,000+ miles I currently have on the clutch and stock flywheel.
If you've installed this combo without balancing them, please let me know your experience. I'm debating on whether or not it's really necessary to have the two balanced together. If i don't have them balanced what should I expect to see in terms of vibration?
