Fiberglass or Urethane [Merged 7-9] polyurethane poly

Urethane kits might cost more but they are definately worth the extra cost. If anything, I would deffinately suggest the polyurethane front bumper and side skirts. Rear bump material Isn't important since I shouldn't scrape.

Fiber is not really a good thing for body kits, youl break it and you won evne know it, You think youll be drviing around cautiously not gonna break it then boom an chick ran a shopping cart into your bumper and cracked it, its ruined, Urathane will not do that it is worth it alot more to get urathane body kits IMHO

2boosted: you have it 'round the wrong way. Urethane/polyurethane parts are flexible while fiberglass is rigid.

I have seen several kids around here that have shattered body kits. The cold weather and crap body kits give them short lifespans... in terms of being bumped and such.

That is actually one of the only concerns I would have with urethane, that and the fact that if you happen to tear it, you need a whole new bumper...unlike fiberglass. Most any kit (urethane or fiberglass) is not going to fit EXACTLY. Fiberglass is very easy to heat up and bend into shape, while urethane is much less "shapeable" (sp?). Side skirts, especially, usually do not fit too well. I helped put a urethane Xenon kit on a friend's Probe and we ended having to mold it to the car just because it fit so badly. If you decide to go urethane, defintley question the quality of the kit. Otherwise I would say stick with the OEM look....MUCH less headaches, trust me.

What is the cheapest place you guys(umm..and ladies) have found for the full blitz urethane kit. As of right now, the cheapest I have found it is $650 before shipping. Thanks for the help.

if you can afford it Urethane - tis basicly what your stock stuff is -- it dont crack NEARLY as easy as fiberglass-- easyer to make a shi*y kit fit because it will give some

Well with the cost of having buy multiple fiberglass bumpers or the cost to keep repairing the cracked fiberglass bumper you may as well get the urethane.

I would defiantely recommend urethane!! urethane has much more flex to it and that fiberglass crap just cracks and busts on you all the time.. my friend had a fiberglass kit and he was pulling slowly into a parking spot with a curb and he barely tapped it and it snapped right in the middle.. then the 2 peices fell on the ground.. he just ripped it off and put it in his trunk he was so mad.. LOL..actually he didnt rip it.. he kinda bent it then it snapped off for him but it was sick.. hope this helps
