Feels like timing might be getting pulled?

I have a 97 GST with a 6-Bolt swap, and I have the TPS unplugged to deal with the random misfire until I get DSMLink. Anyways, whenever I accelerate and hit boost, the car gets moving, but about a second or two after I hit boost, the car feels like it is holding back, almost like I let off the gas really quicky as if I saw a cop or something, but I am still trying to accelerate. It doesn't feel like fuel cut, because I have had that b4 and its not as bad. I am wondering if maybe the timing is getting pulled or something like that. Its very frustrating. Thanks

more than likely it is. i rigged up a way to make my car run 15psi on the stock boost solenoid (dont ask how i did it) and id get on it and id feel great, but then it fell on its face. i logged a run and turns out timing was being pulled back to almost zero and i was getting CRAZY counts of knock.

ive actually had timing be pulled in the negatives, it feels like youre slowing down, but its funny since youre boosting... try getting a datalogger

Would the timing be getting pulled if it was too rich or too lean? I messed with the MAF screw on the bottom of the unit and I have it about half way open. Could I possibly fix the timing problem or help it by adjusting the screw back one way or the other? Thanks.
