Feature In Modified Magazine

Congratulations on the Mag spread! I have been trying for a while to get my Eclipse into DragSport magazine (DSport), but have had a number of issues further hindering my chances. Hopefully the goals of 800+AWHP on a 7-bolt, and low 9's in a street car will help out when they are proven!

Picked up the magazine a few nights back, nice article; I just wish that Modified sunk their teeth into more in-depth descriptions of the modifications done; and didn't typo the year of the car -- either way, great to see a really clean 2G Talon in the mag, as it shows that our community is still a strong one in modifying their cars in a tasteful way.

DSM's are one of the best SLEEPERS out there -- lets keep it that way. Clean and tasteful is always better than F&F bodykit/ricers.

Great Ride! Looks really nice! Good luck with the new setup!

Tim

Just the little details huh? Just kidding. You can borrow my clear corners if it'll help you get in a mag. Hell, you can have 'em if it'll put you in a mag!
97 4G63 you car is intense! The color reminds me of Boyd Coddington's signature silver/grey. The color is sublime. :talon:

Thanks guys! The funny thing is the photos were taken over a year ago, and as the car sits now most people wouldn't even know its the same car :) I have redone the whole car inside and out including a color change! The old color is a gun metal grey, and my old turbo was a custom buikt T4 based DBB unit from ITS. I'm hoping to break 900Whp now and run some 9's at 150+Mph on my 18's then mount some slicks and drop the ET down.

Well it has got to be he cleanest and most impressive 2gb Talon I've ever seen in a mag. It seem like I hardly ever see our cars in mags anymore unless it a tiny little picture of a reader's ride. :talon:

Congrats man. Always nice to see a fellow board member in a mag. I must say, I think the magazine staff needs to go back to school. I bought the issue purely because of your feature and it left a little to be desired. It did not list the tires your running but it does comment on how you founf tires that would last with the abuse. It does not list anything about what turbo setup you are running. I know all the answers I would like are a post or pm away but why not go a little more in depth. Just my opinion.

I thought going into this that they would have sent me the article before being published to proff but that didn't happen. Either way I think they did a good job, and by the way I run BF comp KD's.

Your article was pretty decent, and was the only reason I purchased the magazine. Heck, there aren't even 120 pages in it anymore, and it seems like AMS has alot of representation in the mag nowadays -- heck two articles (tire tech on the AMS STI, and Snow Performance Stage 2 kit on AMS-built Evo).

As well, your car was better than the other 4 feature cars -- all of which were showy pieces of crap. I am happy that they come to the DSM community though when they need a FAST car. The honda crowd can keep the ricers. Especially since the other cars were built through a shop for everything, whereas your car was done in-house with YOU doing a shitton of wrench time over several years. People don't understand anymore that most well-sorted cars take TIME, PATIENCE, and a ton of blood, sweat and tears (and money of course).

Again, really clean car, and a nice cage -- Could you post up some more cage pics? Especially your A-pillar bars and halo bar (harness bar and forward would be nice to see as well as the mounts up front (firewall/floor), etc.

Or a GVr-4 :sneaky:

Mine was in the magazine last October. :)

Congrats on the feature. Make sure you have "InTheNews" do up one of their large boards of the feature to hang on a wall. They do great work. Well worth the money, IMO.

Nice car man. I subscribe to a few mags, but not Modified. I saw a glimpse of it during errands, but was in too big of a hurry to read it. To say the least i went back later that night! ROFL Props!!!!
