Ok like everyone else I thought that the car aspect of the first two movies was unrealistic and cheesy most of the time and just over the top. Like in the first one how 9 second flat muscler car ties a supra...or in two you gotta love how a NA 3g eclipse keeps up with a evo .....but anyway after seeing this trailer other than the fact that the main character is so out of place(he's the QB from friday night lights) this movie actually looks pretty bad ass. The cars look a lot more exoctic and realistic and the racing seems a lot more believeable than a 40 second drag race. I won't lie I was entertained and love the series but I was not a fan of ricers takin stuff to far into the real world but you can't deny this movie has potential to be bad ass. Anyway here's what you all came to see...

By the way for any of you Sport Compact magazine fans like meyou will recognize the ARP EVO in the trailer

Coup D E'Tat what exactly is terrible about that trailer?

There's nothing I could say to sway your decision, and that's fine, I understand that not everyone shares my views on movies, but I'm not going to argue wth ya.

I think I am going to have to go with Coup D E'Tat on this one. But there looks to be some nice looking cars featured in the show. however not enough to make me go see it.

I just like that the cars are nicer and more exotic and the story line isn't something cheesy like my crew vs your crew kinda thing anyone that has played need for speed undergroud knows it kinda has that feel to it story line wise.

'It's called drifting"
"What do you mean, 'drifting'?"

:toobad:

Story?? The 'story' seems just as retarded as the second one.

Gotta love how in all the movies, every 'racing spot' looks like it takes place at HIN, with the half dressed asian chicks, etc...

I'll wait & see it when it's on HBO...

Sucky... It looks ok on action but how are you goin to make a movie about drift racing.. I don't even see how real drifting is a compition. It's all oppinions. Not decisive like drag from point a to point b. But I wouldn't call a s2000, evo and 350z exotic.

no good movie will ever be associated with those three words.

^^^ ill agree 100%, i am going to go see this movie though. its nice to see some sport compacts on the big screen, looking all crazy. i enjoyed the first f&f and 2f2f even though they both were'nt at all correct they were amuzing to watch.

Nope..wasn't 'nice to see' at all. Just gave the V8 guys more ammo for their arsenal.

Agreed.

That being said, I'm definitely going to see the movie. I probably won't see it in theaters (who knows, maybe I will... I just won't take my car so as not to be "grouped" with the other Fast and Furious kids...). I'm not expecting a lot out of the movie. As a matter of fact, I expect it to suck balls as far as the plot, acting, and "realism" go. If there are just a couple of redeeming moments with some badass cars doing cool stuff, though, I'll probably decide that it was worth my while. That and I want to stay in the loop... I'd be so in the dark if I'd never seen the first or second one...:|

^^^ Yeah I seen one top amature drift car in japan...I mean this guy did some non legal type drifting...and his bumper did not match his car color and it was being held on with a zip tie...I think it as a 240SX but im not sure cant member...any ways thats dedication. He said he spends all his money on performance...#### who cares what the car looks like. But im still ganna go see the new movie just so I can seen hot cars

It's entertainment guys. Why does everyone act like they're not cool if they like this movie. Everyone loves downing the movie so they can keep from being called a ricer but I think all three were entertaining and will see this one two. As long as you leave what you saw at the theater and don't bring it to the streets it's just a movie.

I have to agree with both sides. On the one hand, i'll admit the first 2 were amusing to watch no matter how cheesy they were, I still enjoyed watching them. But on the other hand, It's all so fake. I can't remember the last time any car meet or small competitions looked like HIN around here. The sh*t is just too over dramatic too. Either way, I'm gonna go see it and most likely will be entertained. I'll agree with the previous statement of this movie just giving v8 guys more ammunition. Hopefully there won't be any DSM's in this one.

I will go see it, I agree, probably not the best story or actors/actresses but it still has to do with vehicles and the passion I love. Correct the way they portray it, not to my likeing but still entertainment. The movies have got worse each one however there are few sequels that are better or equal to the original. I will simply go for the entertainment and with friends who share the same passion as I do. Whether we make fun of the movie afterwards or not.......plus its funny to watch every 16 yr old kid with their moms honda with clear taillights and a loud muffler act all cool with their cars! But hey you gotta start somewhere.

Yup, V8 guys suck. Oh wait I started out with 350 SB's and shit...LOL j/p any ways. I got no prob watching the movie...I dont have a problem with ricers I have seen some ricers who know a hell of a lot more about performance than I do. The problem is that there are more of them out there who dont know there shit. But any ways on to the movie. I am not big into drifting because you lose speed in the corner. But I like that fact that it takes place in japan. I have seen some sick cars come out of japan. 1000HP supra's, time attack skylines that would eat you for lunch. I mean come on...they got the shit when it comes to parts and shops. If I ever move there im taking my DSM over there just so ill be the guy who has the rare car.....also so I can pick up a newer RX7
