Fan switch/relay source.

Thanks for the suggestion on the switch, but that wasn't what I was looking for. I guess my question is a little ambiguous. I already have a switch installed, however, I haven't found a source to activate the switch so that the fan turns on when the engine is running.

So you want the fan to operate only when the engine is running and shut off when you shut the car off, correct? If that's the case you can splice into the wiring for the stock boost control solenoid. It only gets juice when the ignition is on and shuts off about 10 seconds after you shut the car off. If I remember correctly there is a solid red wire (positive) and a red with yellow stripe (ground) but use your voltmeter to confirm.

Hope that helps. If I am still misunderstanding the question let me know.

Just connect it to the fuel pump relay or to it's own relay which is activated the same way as the Fuel pump relay (via ECU pin 8 going low). It will then only run when the engine is turning with ignition.

You beat me to it. The FP relay only fires for 2 seconds on initial key-on and then ony stays on when teh engine s running. Using the relay to fire another relay wouldn't draw anything from your fuel systems power either.
