extremely hot engine

hey new to club. Have a problem, my engine gets extremely hot even on short runs. Replaced t-stat, did coolant flush even oil change. When I say hot. hot enough to melt plug wire cover. normal or what should I try next.

What is the coolant temp getting to?

Turbo motors run hot thats how they are.

temp. reads normal. If normal thanx for input. though I had a problem.

You might want to invest in an EGT gauge. I don't think you should be melting your spark plug cover. I've had many a night when I've had my exhaust manifold and turbo glowing and never once had mine start to melt. Unless there's a huge difference between 1g and 2g spark plug covers.... ?
