i was looking on bullseye power at their T4OB turbo. it'd be 750 with a 38mm internal wastegate and direct bolt on for stock manifold and downpipe. i was originally thinking a ported evo 16g but for the money it seems awesome. i can get 650cc injectors brand new for 200 from my friend and have the ecu re-flashed to accomodate for everything. would this be a worth-while setup though?

what trim wheels in this turbo? Got a link to the site?
Dont reflash the ECU, get a logger and fuel control so you can tune it yourself.
Anything bigger then a 50 trim wheel and the TO4E will be the better housing.

Eh? The reflash will adjust for the 650cc injectors, not replace a AFC or MAFT and logger.

I'd ask for the specs on the turbo, I haven't heard many reviews about bullseye.

I honestly would not trust that turbo.
Why not? Its brand new out of the box from Garrett, not a hand built combination. It makes more power than any clipped and ported Big 16g for the same $$$. You can also get it with a "No Hassle Warranty". What other shop is going to offer you that?

I have their turbine housing with my Turbonetics T3/T04b H-3. Made the turbo a direct bolt on and had no problems yet. They just take Garret turbos and swap out the turbine housing to make them a direct bolt on for DSM's. The housing itself is a pretty nice part. Everything fit perfectly. Shipping is pretty fast and they answered all my emails before and after my purchase in a timely manner.

I think an internally gated full T4 sounds like a headache waiting to happen. If it is in fact a full T4 the exhaust flow would kill a stock manifold. It's just a guess but a t04b isnt a small turbo. If it will spool sometime below 4k you might be lucky.

t04B is a compressor cover. Its not a t4 turbo they are selling, im 99% sure of that. The t04B is the smallest of the three compressor covers usually find on these turbos(t04e is bigger and by far the most common, and the t04s cover is huge and wont fit without modificiation to your fans etc)

And a question for someone else, is this turbo the "garrett" 16g Ive heard about? Its supposed to flow a little more than a 16g but is a garrett and not mitsu turbo.

I know exactly what you are saying... knowing I have a FULL T4 hanging off of the side of my motor.

I looked at the site and it didn't say much of anything as gar as specs of this turbo. The one thing they did want everyone to see is that it was a T04B.
This was taken from thier site:

Why spend the money on a ported and clipped Big 16G or even a 20g? When you can bolt on a Full Garrett T3 / T4 turbo to your Talon, Laser or Eclipse. Run a full Garrett turbo on your DSM without changing your manifold and downpipe. This Garrett T04B turbocharger will bolt on to your stock manifold and downpipe without any additional modifications. This turbocharger will also support 300-450 horsepower at the wheels (proper engine modifications required). This is a Direct bolt on for any year Galant VR-4, Eagle Talon, Plymouth Laser and Mitsubishi Eclipse. Oil feed and drain modifications required. Also available with our monster 38mm internal wastegate and custom actuator (additional $150).

They mentioned T3/T4 one time, with no mention of AR sizes or turbine wheel options. Yet they call it a T04B, so what are people to think? If it has a T4 turbine wheel its a T04B if it has a T3 turbine wheel its a T3/T04B.

As far as it being a equal to a 16G, no one can say for sure until some specs can be disclosed.

It's a T3/T04B with a V-trim Compressor wheel. It's rated at 49 lb/min or approx. 4-450 hp. The conical shaped turbine housing design provides excellent spool up and the 38mm internal wastegate eliminates boost creep. What else do you want to know?

That's what most of our customers who have run both the 20g and this T04B have told us. They also claim to have better spool up, usually 20psi at 3500rpm.
