Anyone have any experience or thoughts on the gt42-102 non-BB turbo. Spool times and what not. I have a 2.4 and have a chance to get one of these cheep.

I dont think evil eagles is nonBB, or is it? I would like to know how these spool compared to their BB conterparts as well. There was that colt that made like 700+hp on a nonBB one I know.

I would differently run a ball bearing setup, but bb and non-bb would not affect max hp, it would how ever affect when you will see max power along the rpm range. Which for some people is very important and worth saving to get the bb setup.

I will let everyone know when ever my motor gets done bought the turbo in question, a little bigger than a standard gt42. any other info will be appreciated.

It was lazy-but ramp up time swere just a hair slower than a ball bearing.

The BB unit only really shines when it comes to transient boost-but if you shift fast enough, its no a problem. :)

I saw low boost (17psi) around 5800 in 3rd on my 2.0.
