So before anyone post on this im gonna say this if your gonna tell e to not waste my money on buying parts for this please hit the back arrow other than that im in the market of buying and exhaust system and was wondering if anyone had any suggestions of brands and what not ive been looking at the HKS power carbon Ti but seen megan and a bunch other so any advise would help thanks

Honestly if I were you I would get no bigger than a 2 1/2"cat back, and as far as what brand goes I have a apexi can on mine and its got a nice mild tone to it. just buy the can you want and have a exhaust shop custom make the rest.

I have the megan racing cat back on my GSX. It was a little too loud for me and it had a bad drone at highway speeds. So I had to weld in a resonator. The fitment was good but I wish I would of went with something else to be honest.

Ebay has plenty of exhaust. Catbacks to downpipes to full exhaust. I picked up a 3" downpipe & a 3" catback (with cat-delete) for around $200 shipped. Fitment was a little janky. But I fixed it. & I feel it was worth it.

For a Non-turbo, I think a 2.5" should suffice for whatever goals you might want.

I agree with newTSIguy, unless you plan on adding a turbo later there would be no need for larger than 2 1/2" exhaust

later on i do plan on turboing it but money is tight right now for that kinda upgrade but if i went with a 3 inch without turbo wont that take away back pressure?

You only want to eleminate back pressure if your running a turbo, you want some back pressure on N/A applications, a 3" might hurt performance untill you get your turbo. at least thats what i have always been told.

I wouldnt worry about the cat till you go turbo. Save the money and put it twords you turbo kit, thats just me though.

Im sorry I said I had a apexi, LOL typo I ment 'Injun" any way what are your goals with this exhaust? sound wise, you want a deep drone or a quite tone, or you want a high pitched tone? my miffler is mild and I like it that way, if I were you I would start doing some resurch on the different brands and just start the process of elemination judging by the qualities you want, Honestly you might find the ebay muflers to what your looking for, they all do the same thing, and if you are planing on going turbo latter you will want to upgrade to a better exhaust. So it might be more cost effective to go cheap now and bust out the big bucks when you do your build.
