exhaust mani?

Since you're asking opinions...

At least the OBX has bracing on the flange, otherwise it would be junk...but I've personally never liked OBX products for other than "dress" parts that are not critical.

If it was me...I would get the FP mani.

For me, one of the downsides of a tubular manifold is that they get really hot really fast and could potentially over heat the paint on your hood or radiate excessive amounts of heat into your radiator. The FP is a nice cast unit that can also come with a coating on it to keep under hood temps down (or at least they used to. I guess that's not an option anymore). Depending on if you plan to stay with your current setup, something along the lines of an Evo3 manifold would due as well (Ported or unported). They flow very well and also retain low end power and spool up. I loved my ported Evo3 mani on my Evo3 16G. Should probably get another one soon. heh. Good luck with your decision :thumb:

I agree with every one else the FP one looks way better, I had a friend that had an evo mani and then switched to a tubular mani and he lost performance, somewere around 5 hp and torque, was dyno'd. That fp one looks like a prime candidate for a port job and ready to go.

The FP actually doesn't need to be ported at all. They made the design to not have to be ported at all. So it is literally a bolt on deal. I have heard great things about this FP mani. BUT, a lot of people say (Even a reputable shop around here) that it's not going to do much good for you on a small frame turbo. If you are running a GT30 like FP's FP30 series, then it will do wonders for your top end.

The only performance part that i know for experience that its good from OBX are the Honda/Nissan LSD's everything else is cr@p.
Go with the FP cast, its like 100 times better and it doesn't need porting but the turbine housing of your turbo will need some to match up.
If you are on a budget stick to a 2g or Evo 3 ported manifold, it can make wonders with a little of porting.

Depends on what your goals are. Do you plan on running internal or if you do go external, running it off the O2 housing? How about future turbo systems? Mitsu turbine housing or T3 or T4 turbos? Think and plan ahead before you buy.

Thanks for the input everyone i was leaning more towards the fp mani ### i know ebay stuff is not usually good on manifolds, and tubulars crack easy, but does anyone know of a heat shield that will go on the fp mani? i want to keep as much heat as possible down.

thanks, and as for future upgrades i do plan on getting a bigger turbo, but its gonna be a 50 trim with a dsm flange so therefor the fp mani will be my best bet to get. thanks guys

Looks can be diseving if the FP is recking your car what would you rather have performance or looks?

I had a Pacesetter on my talon that I had head coated and I would make a pass at the track and 15 mins later it was cool enough to put my hand on.

Im actually selling it and an o2 housing. just need to get gaskets.
