exhaust and intake mani...same size bolt?

i'm getting my head back from the shop today after being machined and cleaned and such, but i was wondering if i have to use studs to put my exhaust mani, or if i can just get the same size bolts that hold on my intake mani? the exh. and intake mani are about the same thickness between the bolt head and the head. would this work? thanks

Yes use studs on the exhaust manifold. It is under a lot of stress compared to the intake side. 8x1.25mm
