Excessive Fuel Tank,pressure code p0443, correct part for fix?

Since buying the car (previous owner had this problem too) I've noticed that when filling up the car with gas the fuel tank will bleed a lot of pressure when removing the fuel cap. I scanned the comp and the code is p0443; pretty sure it said something regarding the purge control solenoid. I removed the battery to check out what i was dealing with. First off the purge valve itself was cracked and in turn didnt work obviously. I went to the salvage yard and bought a new valve. Still the code p0443 is there after resetting the ecu. I went to advance auto and they pulled up a picture of the part I need. Now here's the thing, it doesnt look like what is under the hood currently. The picture of "purge solenoid" showed a small plastic solenoid/valve with an electrical connection and 3 vacuum ports. The same picture was also used when he looked up "purge valve". Did a newer product hit the market which integrates the purge valve and purge solenoid? If I still have excessive fuel tank pressure and the valve is good, the only other bad component would hopefully be the purge solenoid right? Finally, is the purge solenoid the same for FI and NA dsm's of the same model year?

The fuel tank pressure is common and completely normal. If you don't have inspections you can replace your purge valve with a blockoff and remove the MDP sensor.

yea no obdII checking for me since its a 95 but i'm ocd about everything working correctly.

I'll give it one more shot at fixing it. If nadda then i'll take it off

You have a fully functioning obd2 system. I'm assuming that you mean for emissions purposes though and you know that you are obd2 compliant otherwise you probably wouldn't have a code.

yeah i meant for inspection purposes. NYS says only cars 96 and newer are mandated to have the emissions system scanned. Even though i do have the sytem but the car is a 95' am I exempt?

But yes it has the fully functional obdII system..gotta love the codes

Your car should not be scanned using the OBDII port for emissions testing.

Anyways i will probably end up fixing this cel just because. I will grab a used purge solenoid off of a N/A dsm at the salvage yard and see what that does
