I have this code:
p0443 - Evaporative Emission Control System Purge Control Valve circuit Malfunction

Where is this valve located? I have a parts car I can steal this off, just not sure where it is.

My car is stock w/ exhaust, uicp and intake hard pipes.

purge valve is usually located near the engine - im not sure on an eclipse - but it functions by opening the purge valve to empty fuel vapor from the charcoal canister. it should be connected to the intake and generally will look like any other black plastic solenoid and be connected with a plastic line on both sides.

I have full emissions and EGR on this car. My parts car has a near brand new EGR if that could contribute to being a culprit.

I need someone to post a pic of the solenoid or circle where it'd be at in the engine bay.

here you go, i had to borrow the image off of another member. this should fix the the code your dealing with.

Ok, now here is the problem. Brand new solenoid and purge valve itself from Mitsu. Car is STILL throwing the code. Any suggestions?

I was thinking of going to the library and figuring if the wiring is working correctly. My other thought is all new vaccuum lines.

The only other problem I know of on my car is that the valve guide seals allow weepage of oil into the cylinder when under boost in excess of 12psi.

I really need this fixed WITHOUT doing an EPROM ECU as its mostly stock with very conservative bolt-ons. Stock turbo, injectors, and I believe fuel pump.
